Product information of the VG-YLKmb 0.6kV-1kV

Application

A cable with a lead sheath which offers an excellent protection against aggressive substances, such as organic solvents and fuels. This cable is corrosion proof and suitable for direct burial for low voltage installations up to 1 kV.

Advantages

  • Flame retardant
  • Steel Wired Armour (SWA)

Applicable in ATEX zones

Cables used in ATEX zones need to comply with certain (construction) requirements. The VG-YLKmb 0.6kV-1kV meets these requirements. We will give you two examples. Empty spaces between the cores are not allowed as this makes the transportation of flammable liquids and gasses possible. Therefore, the bedding or the inner sheath of the cable needs to be pressed. Another requirement is that the outer sheath of the cable must be made of an elastomer, a thermoplastic or a thermoset material.

Advantages of the VG-YLKmb 0.6kV-1kV

Flame retardant

Cables used to be responsible for spreading fire. The VG-YLKmb 0.6kV-1kV is flame retardant. This means that this cable is designed in a way that it will not spread fire. Cables with these advantages are often used in buildings and at locations where people live, work and travel / move.

Steel Wired Armour (SWA)

The armouring of steel wires protects the cable from physical elements. Sharp edges and stones can affect cables and in case of underground cables digging equipment might hit the cables. The armouring strengthens the VG-YLKmb 0.6kV-1kV and it will limit the damage inflicted by physical elements. The cable will maintain its functionality afterwards.
