Product information of the EEMUA 133

Application

The EEMUA 133 cable is used for main supply on low voltage systems. The cable has a lead sheath which provides resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons which makes it suitable for use in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry.

Advantages

  • Steel Wired Armour (SWA)

Applicable in ATEX zones

Cables used in ATEX zones need to comply with certain (construction) requirements. The EEMUA 133 meets these requirements. We will give you two examples. Empty spaces between the cores are not allowed as this makes the transportation of flammable liquids and gasses possible. Therefore, the bedding or the inner sheath of the cable needs to be pressed. Another requirement is that the outer sheath of the cable must be made of an elastomer, a thermoplastic or a thermoset material.

Advantages of the EEMUA 133

Steel Wired Armour (SWA)

The armouring of steel wires protects the cable from physical elements. Sharp edges and stones can affect cables and in case of underground cables digging equipment might hit the cables. The armouring strengthens the EEMUA 133 and it will limit the damage inflicted by physical elements. The cable will maintain its functionality afterwards.
